Started work on it today, 3 link is going to be based on Jake's truck, 37 mtrs everyday, 36 iroks on beadlocks for harder trail runs. TRD s/c with URD's fuel mods, auto with marlin dual cases - stock ratio. Jeep J10 front D44 with flat top knuckles, non trd toy rear, 4.89s in front, 4.88 in back, both air locked, Fox 14" coilovers, 63" 2wd chebbys in the rear, maybe double shackle setup, seriously considering bobbing the bed. Warn 9.5 in front, 1.75" .120 wall bumpers and sliders, safari rack if I bob the bed, Thinking about jeep style swing away tire and gas can carrier behind tailgate... maybe just dreaming. Some pics |

Little more work done, parts arriving slowly. Had to send my t-case adaptor back to marlin to have it machined for the proper seal, been 4 weeks and counting. Picking up steel for links on monday and dropping off passenger side knuckle to have it machined and tapped for sky arm at same time. Can't mock up suspension until I have final resting place for double cases...... Made suspension tabs today for axle side. Getting anxious. Going slooooow, damn life keeps getting in the way. I'm out of room for pictures, how do I add them full size like you guys do?

Looking good. Can't wait to get started on mine next Friday over MLK weekend. Leafs instead of coils for now. Keep up the work and send a bunch of pics.

4.88 isn't available for the d44, so 4.89 was the closest available. Valve body upgrade.... trans will be toast without it. Add it to the list.
On the bright side, steering box is up and mounted, frame plated & sleaved on dr side, plated on pass side, made a new front crossmember. Do I need to have a host to show my pictures?

What's the deal with the valve body upgrade? I am gonna be going up to 37's after a few months on 35's and I am not aware of this mod. I am going to make the jump to hydro assist when I move to 35's as well and already had my box ported and rebuilt by PSC. Sorry to hijack your post but I wanted to find out what this is.

Thanks Andy, don't want to bother you so I'll set up a account tommorow to host my pics. I want this this wheeling by Feburary or I'm going to take up ballet. I'll make every effort to keep pics up as I do things. Nothing is new here, just using tried and true designs from members on this board, then add some of my own character to it. Oh yeah, I own a small stereo shop so the inside will be loaded with goodies to

You can also scroll down the page to the prices and click on one of the valve body links for more info.

Guess I didn't do enough searching, randy's ring & pinion didn't show them at the time. This axle was set up 4 years ago, maybe thats why? Don't know, they work fine.
Front range tcase crossmember showed up, nice, ordered bungs for johnny joints from Kar Tech yesterday. Creepin along. Oh yeah, Picked up 3x4 .188 wall steel for 3 link cross member, see if I can get that built tomorrow. Got a photobucket account set up, see if I can put some pictures up. |

Ok, marlin shipped the modified dual case adaptor finally, should be here monday or tues. I sent it off begining of DEC.... they were backed up big time. This is what I have sitting around waiting to find a home, chevy rears, 8 2.5" johnny joints, bunch of 2" .250 wall tube, new warn 9.5, dana 44 with sky's high steer arms installed (got knuckle back from machine shop wednesday), got my springs on the coilovers. As soon as the adapor is here I'll put it in and then I can locate my front suspension crossmember, oh yeah have the front range crossmember as well, and all the 1.75 x .120 wall tube for bumpers, sliders, etc. Frustrating

wrap them in the [IMG] tags directly from the site. On Photobucket you've got the option to do the direct link, <IMG> or [IMG]. You want the link that's wrapped like [IMG]http://www.photobucket.com........[IMG]. BTW, looks good!

Ok, I'm putting my double cases in from my 2.7, and.... looks like I"m going to have to use the transfer case out of the 2.7 instead of the 3.4,(3.4 has a larger 26 spline than the 2.7 27 spline I think) loosing my push button setup. My speed sensor is in the trans right? I've looked and thats what it looks like. Don't want to loose the speedo and odometer. Anyone see any problems with this setup?
Thanks Steve Last edited by roktaco; 02-01-2006 at 05:21 PM. |

Ok, 2.7 case is mated to crawler box, had to switch sensors for 4wd,4 lo, and spedo sesnor simply unbolted from 3.4 tcase and bolted back in place of the mechanical unit on the 2.7 case. Hopefully it will work. Putting on front range crossmember now and will be welding mounts up shortly.....
