Default Fire wood for the campout 13, 14, 15th.

It would make for a nicer weekend if everyone brought some fire wood. This weekend looks like its going to be COLD! So instead of us getting there hopping thaht the next person has enough for the night, just bring a little. Even if you don't have a way to cut up wood your self they sell wood on the side of the road. I'm going to bring all that I can in the Runner.

Last time i was out at Rodman Dam with a buddy in his Jeep he figured out that his Jeep could run over trees after getting stuck in between two and he kept running them over Pretty stupid but amusing.

Its cool but its people like HIM that causes the few places we have left to wheel to get shut down it pisses me off. I hate that I have to drive over an hour just to go wheeling cause all the local areas got shut down because someone was doing something dumb. IF you didn't know Rodman on the list of the areas that are being considered for close all offroad use.

Also its people like your friend make the rest us look bad.

Not all people that drive ATVs are bad. There are bad apples in every group. For example there is a park across the road from NAS JAX were there are lots nature trails, kids play ground, and (you're fit in with this group) bike trails. I took my daughter there last Fri while is was playing on the playground a group of guys were riding there mountain bike in the woods on what I thought was the bike trail. Before we left I took her to the nature trails for a short walk and I see that the guys weren't on the trails and were blazing their on trails. So don't go and blame on group as a whole for one person being stupid which gives them the bad image to someone outside of that group.

I know for a fact that people in the ATV/Dirtbike groups hates Offroaders cause they feel that we are the reason the trails get close. IN turn I know that most Dirt Bikers hate ATVers cause they feel that the ATVers are why the trails get closed. So pointing a finger at one group cause of one person's stupidity isn't right. This all just my opinion on this and this isn't even the damn topic of this post.

So back on topic, I'm going to try and get some good hard wood Thur. All that pine I had at the last camp isn't dried out enough. I will bring my ax and chainsaw just incase the wood we get will need to be split or cut up smaller.

I say we use Neil's winch again an pull some of that dead oak from the steep hill that borders the lake. We got some GOOD stuff there before. There is PLENTY down there!

same thing in jax there is a farmer in st johns county who would let us wheel on his property but then some high school kids decided that it would be funny to break his fences and let the cows go wild i am in highschool too but i respect the trail that i get to use cause there is such a small amout of them
