im new to this forum and i drive a prerunner but desparetly want it to be more off road ready without a expensive 4x4 conversion...anyone thats willing to help me make my truck better ..plz do

Well the 1st mod would be a locker. That was the 1st thing I did on my 98 Tacoma. Powertrax make a quick and easy locker to fit in the rear end on your truck. At a good price too. Some people say they are not good, but I ran mine front and rear Stock tacoma axle, and dana 44 front on 37's and never broke or busted one. I did break many dana 44 axle shafts, and plenty of u-joints in the front end, but you will not have that prob. being you have a prerunner.
