just like the title says, this is another LT buildup. kit is going on a v6 ext cab 4x4. ill be running the TC kit with 8" kings and 500lb coils. i may end up swapping to a heavier coil...depends on how the 500's do i guess. secondaries will come later on hopefully. got my first piece of the bling yesterday:
the kit should be in tomorrow, along with my spindle gussets. i cant quite afford the axles yet since i ended up doing my clutch last weekend...so my plan is to knock/cut/grind/whatever the ends off of some stock taco axles to hold the wheel bearings in and cap off the diff. then once i track down some used tundra axles, i'll slap those in there (once they are modified). im hoping to have everything ready to go by tomorrow or friday, and i'll be doing the install on sunday if everything goes as planned. i also have monday as a cushion incase i have trouble finishing everything on sunday. i'll try to have some before/after pictures, and a few pictures in between for you guys. it wont be anything special, but eh...pictures are always good.

Coo' welcome aboard. And if you ever want to get rid of those coils I use the 500 spring rate since I'm a 4 cyl. You'll have fun with it, good choice on TC you won't be disappointed

ok, i got the rest of my bling:
i have 3 of the 4 stubs i need to hold everything in the 4wd together. im short one outter stub, but i'll probably end up using one off of my current CV's. besides that one stub, i have everything i need for the install (hopefully). right now, i have the 7 leaf deavers and some bilsteins in the rear. it will probably stay like that for a while, but id like to at least put some 14" fox 2.0's back there, and tie the hoop in with a bumper and tire carrier. nothing very special, but it will be funcional at least.

You should be good with the 500 lb coils, even my truck with the cage and everything was good with 500 # coils.

sunday is still the set day for the install. the plan is for nothing to go wrong, so hopefully everything goes as planned. lol
prerunnerguy/BLOWNYOTA: pics will come as soon as i actually make some progress...unless you want pics of my truck as it sits now. lol DesertTRD: ya, my main concern with the 500's is the weight of the V6, ext cab, and 4wd. my buddy is running a 500 on his 4cyl reg cab prerunner, so it seems a bit light to me for my app. but then again, i dont plan on hucking it 6 feet in the air, so 500 will probably be dead on. YoTRacer: hurry up and do it so you can join the club. sell a kidney or something! elenex: yes, i got the kit brand new. i ordered the kit from Central Coast Prerunners (local shop), who ordered it from True Offroad, who got it straight from chaos i beleive. i ordered the kings from Central Coast Prerunners also, and he called King and ordered them directly as i was still sitting at the counter. the kit with tax and shipping was in the 2700 range, and the coilovers taxed and shipped were in the 1300 range. the plan for tomorrow (or today technically) is to go to the local alignment shop that aligns all the LT toys around here, and set up a flexible appointment for monday. hopefully they dont have much booked for that day yet...i dont know when my truck will be ready, so i cant set an exact time. i still have a few touch-up things to do before my truck gets torn down...like cleaning up rough edges where the bushings go into the arms, greasing the bushings and pressing them in, painting the upper shock mount...little things like that. all i have to do is stick to the plan from above. quick question though... do you guys think i should add a small plate to the frame where the limit strap tabs weld up? is it worth it, or will it not be under enough stress to matter?

It really doesn't matter what you run really as long as it's not SAW lol. Yea Nicole and Andy both use Fox on their trucks but it's really just preference and who you're "in" with. I had a "in" with Fox so of course I chose them over King since I got my coilovers and springs and valve service all discounted. I love my Fox's and if I were to switch it'd be King only other than Fox. Pick whatever you want. And if you're a 6 cyl pick a 550 or 600 spring rate and if you're a 4 cyl like me 500 works well

BLOWNYOTA: thanks. i know no one else adds a plate, but i wasnt sure if it would be a better idea to add it just in case.
Tweet: ya, TC rocks. im very pleased with their quality and completeness of their kit. im happy already and its not even on the truck yet. lol Half Baked: from the center of the hole on the caliper side to the threaded side is 24 5/8". they are both the same length between sides. the numbers on them are D.O.T.571.106 and under that it says #106. they are crown lines, if that helps. Cabbage: Chris, right? or did you buy the truck from chris...anyways, im doing the install myself. Mike is just giving me a few pointers and hooking me up with the parts and other misc shit that goes into it. im doing the install in my friends garage/driveway. its more convenient to do it there than to do it at my house since my welder is sitting over there and he has more tools than me. sunday is STILL the set day. plans are going good. lol

good luck on your install and remember, when it comes to fab/installs, everything takes twice as long
