To keep from breaking them. That much HP and tires that size will kill just about any axle.

Its just crazy, I don't really know what to think COOL? DUMB? I'm torn, I wish I could find this video of some crazy Euro hill climbing races I saw last year, makes that video like a kids powerwheels toy.

Yeah 2Tense it's the first one Steven was referring to. It's Formula Offroad from Iceland. There was a full 25 minute version of it floating around on the net a while ago. I think the coolest part is when they are driving across the water really fast. Those lakes are like 6 feet deep, but with all of that HP they can spin the paddle tires so fast that they hydroplane all the way across, I wonder who the first person to test that out was
