With the date change I'm out. Our team qualified for Nationals this year and that's the same weekend. Have fun.

Little tease...

Chokecherry Canyon is an outstanding OHV area that
is immediately adjacent to the city of Farmington. The canyon's
terrain is composed of sandstone (slickrock) that is similar in nature
to the better known terrain in Moab, Utah. As some on the list have
pointed out, the sandstone in Farmington is somewhat softer, and
therefore a bit slicker, than that of Moab. The local 4WD club, The
Cliffhangers, have partnered with the local BLM office to create a
series of world-class "challenge" trails in Chokecherry Canyon. These
trails have developed quite a reputation in the relatively short time
they have been in existence due to coverage in several national
magazines (primarily 4WD&SU) and a recently released video in Rick
Russell's series.

You can check out some of the trails available at:

http://www.4x4now.com/trnmin.htm for "The Intimidator"
http://www.4x4now.com/trnmcc.htm for "The Waterfall"

Hmmm, only 377 miles and about 6 hours from Denver. Assuming I have a rig, and still live in Denver, this sounds like a LOT of fun.

2287 one way, dont think Ill be making it. The north east mini takeover is the weekend before and only 300 miles away.

Whens it back to the east coast? Next year or the year after?

got a link or more information on the Mini Take Over. I keep hearing about it, but haven't seen any info on it.

Might be more feasible for me to head East instead of West this year.
