Default Cargo Lights

Has anyone every done a mod to make the brake light over the bed into a cargo light as well? One problem, though minor, I have always had with the Tacoma is the lack of that light.

It's been done. There's a write up somewhere. Do a search and you'll find it.

I saw the writeup on te New England site back in the day when it was working I guess and basically the guy used some clear bicycle reflector plastic and cut two square holes in the brake light on each side and glued those in. He said there are 3 bulbs in that light so he left the middle one as a brake light and then covered the other two with the clear lense.... im not sure if he put a switch on the two or what, he must ahve but I think the writeup was a little unclear with how to wire up or put a new switch in there or whatever but It cant be that hard.. anyway theres a little info for ya.
