Default DVD software help

Hey guys, I need software that will let me download from my DV camera to a
HDD and then burn to a DVD that will play on my TV's DVD player.

I don't know squat about formats and such so it needs to be simple to start with.

Is Nero 6.0 Ultra a possibility?

Help guys.

You could get a PCI card with a Firewire port and a Firewire cable to get it hooked up from your cam to your PC.

Thanks man but I've got the hardware covered.

I need some software that will let me edit the film and save it to a DVD that I can put to my TV.

I know very little about this subject as well, but I think Adobe Premire is a good program for editing and authoring.

I use Pinnacle Studio Plus, version 9 from Pinnacle Studios to edit digital video. This program is very comprehensive and easy to use. You can find it on Ebay for a fraction of the retail price.

Sony "Click to DVD" if you have a vaio pc, it comes packaged with it. If not you should be able to buy it. Uber easy to use. Hope this helps.
