I helps to watch the birds b4 the hunt if you have a field thats available for you to do that, they keep the same pattern pretty much everyday.

Dont feel stupid! Ive been to hunts where ive only killed 2 or 3 myself. We just got lucky enough to have the corn pulled b4 anybody else, thus the birds were there!

We're going in the morn, a different field, I'll keep yall posted on how we do! Mite post some pix also!

It was an awsome hunt prolly the best ive ever been to! Anyway heres some pix!

Great shooting, BUT considering the limit in Ga is 12 per day/24 in possesion I would edit some of the responses.

We had fun but weren't near as succesful as ya'll between 3 of us I think we got 18-20 and a bunch of bruised shoulders.

Yea i was thinking about that but i would be glad to pay a fine for over the limit to go back to a shoot like we had Monday!

If I kill alot of birds like i did Monday, usually i try an give away as many as possible, but if not i clean em ad fry em up!

[quote=The Less Modified Taco;984025]i was thinkin the same thing

Yea this year has been the best ive ever seen with birds! It was mostly because we didnt have much rain! When dove are young, rain or water usually kill a great number of em! It rains in their nest and drowns them, also they try to get out of that wet nest and usually fall to their death!

HaHaHaHa! Well i may not ge good at many things ,but one thing i can say is that i can shoot wid the best of em!

I exceeded my expectations this afternoon of 25! I shot 44 birds and i got em cooling down in the fridge! Im going to clean them 2mrw morn while its still cool!

Keeping them in the fridge overnight allows the blood to harden a lil and dont get all over your hands when you clean em!

I will post some pix! By the way are you going to Beasley on the 15th Ed!

Guys,
Being a hunter, I enjoy talking about hunting and shooting as much as the next guy. Also, as a sportman, I am very familiar with the rules and regulations. Just like we are sportsman on the trails and try to do our part to leave it better than when we arrived, please be conscious of what you are posting about shooting more than the limit, etc. It doesn't shine very bright on our hobbies that we have to fight to save every year. I have had to do way too much editing in this thread. Again, if you have questions, I'm always ready to chat. Thanks!

A Game Warden might could use this thread to lay some heavy fines etc on U and possibly friends too? I think Alan's just tryin to look out for us sometimes. I know I need it!

My favorite way to cook Dove is to get some good steel skewers, wrap breasts up in bacon, shish ka bob 'em up and throw them on the grill!

I typically must wait 'till almost T-Giving for that though. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH!
