Im trying to find out what (exactly) type/size /whatever....gears i will need for my rear diff.which is electronic locker equipt, i want to put in 4.88's and though iv called a ton of people including (precision gears themselves) and know one seems to be willing to either take the time to give me a stright answer or search around to find that answer.... very frustrating !~!!

I just got mine. I'll get brand (I thought it was U.S. something I can't remember right now) and part number for you later tonight. I got them from http://www.tandjperformance.com in So Cal. The manufacturer shipped me the wrong ones initially so now I have the correct ones. Talk to Max and he will sort you out.

It's the same Toyota 8" ring gear that fits in the older turbo charged 4X4 mini truck rearends.

So 4.88s have a 44 tooth ring and a 9t pinion, right?
The old 22RT-E's had 4.88s stock? It has the same pinion too, right? |

Good luck on finding those 4.88's. I bought the last set Marlin had about 6 weeks ago.

OK here they are. US Gear Ring and pinion set. Part no 03-882410. contact t and j performance in So Cal (714) 633-0991 and ask for Max. Tell him Vince the guy that got the wrong set sent ya and not to mess this one up :-) I've got an '04 TRD with locked.
