Welding available

Anyone need help with a mod? I am an experienced welder/fabricator and will be glad to help out in return for the experience.

if it's not the truck, it's the old mustang that keeps me busy...

This is my new setup, approx 340 HP :::still gets 24 mpg ::: I need/want to make some changes to that aluminum intercooler tubing. I'm wanting to build an aluminum "airbox" around the exposed filter in the engine bay.

I'm also designing/building a new sheet metal intake manifold (aluminum) and I'm going to be needing someone to weld it. I got robbed and taken advantage of locally on getting that aluminum intercooler piping welding. It was supposed to be a 1.5 hour, 100 dollar job, somehow it turned into a 250 dollar 3 hour, bitchfest ordeal.... I also had some more aluminum work in mind I'd like to have done. Like I said I have cash, and I'm able to help (I just dont have a tig here yet)

Should be no big deal... I am set up with a mobile rig. How much of a hurry are you? If you have the stuff prepped and ready for welding, you've done all the hard work...

Thats awesome, as a matter of fact, will you be home tomorrow ? I might swing by in the afternoon just to meet you. I'm ALWAYS willing to barter, I've had several guys from several forums at my new place up here, to wrench on their trucks for free. It's a hobby here as well, nothing like flippin on the fans, radios, and the air compressor on a saturday morning.

Skip, I'll let you drive it next time I Have it at work. It gets stock gas mileage out of boost, driving like a sane person. You wouldnt know what to do with yourself and all that power.. This is the main reason I wanted to take the lift and tires off, but I didnt want to say anything to anyone till it was finished.

It makes enough power that it smoked the clutch within a week. It's sitting in my garage for almost a month now. I have to yank the transmission to get the new clutch and flywheel in.

A couple parts are left overs from my blue ford that burned down. The rest I've accumulated over the past 2 years.... It wasnt as bad as some have paid Good thing I can weld and was able to do all the work myself (except the aluminum welding)

Red I swear I've seen your truck in the Blockbuster parking lot (Northlake in the the publix plaza). Cruz I'm interested in having a aluminum dual battery tray made for my 4Runner. I'm originally Orlando moved to Miramar and will be moving to Jupiter this weekend. Jupiter is so much better than Miramar. I realize that had nothing to do with welding.

I grew up in Jupiter, nothing like it use to be though. Juno sand dunes(aka the Bluffs) were the best. Mud holes behind the Jupiter Hospital. Pal/Mar I could go on for hours.

Yeah about the whole Corbet thing.... my last truck went out there many of times. MY 95 toyot pickup was unstopable unless it stopped. Setup with a snorkel mild lift and 33 MT's we swam at corbet often. This rig doesn't mind sand or rocks but does hate the mud, almos as much as I het cleaning the mud. It's almost worse than the GA, NC, TN clay I find myself slinging while wheeling. I'll watch you swim.

I could use some welding help this weekend if you got a min. I Have a rear rack

and would like to add a 2" receiver onto the underside so I could add a bike rack to it or a trailer brake light thing.

I'm in the process of moving to Fort White, near Gainsville. I was there for a week already, not there now, but got pulled over because my bumpers are too high. I need a fake/removable rear bumper to add the the rear and something for the front as well. The idea I have in mind for the rear will be a little bit of a challenge, but the front will be a bigger test. If you want to do it I can arrange for a weekend trip to drive it down and we could make something. Especially if you are offering your services for the experience of doing it, that right there meets my price range to a T since I've not worked for over a year while in school.
Pics of bumpers.....

Truck specs:2001 D-cab Taco with solid axle conversion, front and rear 65" wide Diamond axles, Tundra 8 inch rear w/ARB, H.P. front w/ARB 30 spline Long's, full floating rear from FROR and blah blah blah, IE lots-a cool stuff.

Kirk, where'd you get pulled over for having bumpers too high? We don't have any of those laws in Florida.. at least not any that are enforced.

Right here http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...=16&iwloc=addr
He said my bumpers were based on the weight of my truck.
