I think your line was off alittle the first time. And if i remember right it was you exhaust that took the brunt of the abuse.

Indeed - line was a bit off, and made worse by my rear end bucking to the left and pinning my left rear bumper against dirt and rock.

On stockers. The first ledge was worse than the second.

Yeah the rear bumper got hung up on the first ledge. Probably would've been ok with tires. The lower driver bedside between the tire and bumper got smashed up a little somewhere before the top of the quarry where I noticed it. I think it was on the first ledge. Nothing that won't get cut off later though.

The center section is getting really eaten out, and a third ledge is starting to form right there.

etan: Basically somewhere around 8,000ft my crappy $15 ebay compressor is unable to reach the 115psi required to trip the shutoff. It's always enough to run the locker, but some times it cycles a while trying to get there. I have a check valve between the comp and the tank, so I don't lose all my air through the weak seals in the cheap compressor.

This was my first run down in CO with the TTORA crew. I had an absolute blast. I drive a 1998 4runner (4cyl/5spd/4.56s) with arb in the rear, 265/75/r16 Nitto all terrains (31.5s), with the running board delete mod. I also have a few custom dents in the front and rear bumpers.

The trail was a bit harder than I expected for "ok for stock." Some of the rocks were kind of large, on crystal mtn especially. I high centered on my gas tank at least 3 times before I got the hang of how to avoid it. I was glad to be with experienced company.

This is also the first time I've really wheeled the 4Runner, which may contribute to my impressions of the trail. Basically, the Runner is a heavy pig. Full on heffer. The locker worked awesome - money well spent. I love just flipping the switch. I was definitely envious of everyone's sliders, though. I might have to get some.

Here's a few from what I got. I have some crappy video too, which I'll eventually get uploaded to photobucket.

Group shot airing down

ducaria coming out of the quarry

This ledge seemed to give people the most trouble. With the amount of loose dirt and sand in there, I'd expect this ledge to become much more pronounced as rigs sit there and dig it out.

Same spot

One of the ledges I was coveting sliders. Most people that took this line just tapped the rear of their driver slider coming up the ledge.

Definitely not sliders. He cleaned it easy though - open open without touching any painted metal.

Nate? Dan? I think it's Dan, but seemed like everyone was Nate or Dan.
