Nah, Ike told me the story yesterday... different set of jeeps and real assholes at that. Anyhow, I need to get up and run this in the rain. Sounds like a different trail when wet.

heading up the trail there was a group that insisted they had the right of way. on the way down they made a point to tell my buddy repeatedly that there was no way he should be on the trail due to the problems they had. told them we would be fine in a joking manner and it pissed them off so we got cursed at, and one of them felt the need to slam the mirror on my truck as he passed by. needless to say we made the trail with only one tug.

You left out the part about them having problems and your reply of "it's a jeep thing, I get it"

I'm fairly certain that had something to do with them getting pissed and slamming your mirror.

Ugh, that sucks.

I hate people like that. I'm glad I wasn't there. It would have totally ruined my day.

Kinda to be expected when you go to a popular trail on a holiday weekend.

and yes i probably shouldnt have made the comment. the first few of the group to come down were really nice and just pointed out that the trail was slick. the ones that got me were the couple who were telling mike the only way he was getting up the trail was by being dragged. it was his 3rd trail run and he didnt need to hear that. needless to say he made it with just a very light tug on the first ledge. a tug that i also needed.

Seems to me that you should never tell another group on the trail what they should/should not do. It just invites problems. Best to just pass along any relevant information about trail conditions, obstacles, etc., and let the other group make the call.

From the point of view of the newbie previously mentioned, I thought the trail was a blast. It's amazing what a little skinny pedal can accomplish...

I just did the math. It is, in fact, cheaper to go out drinking every weekend than it would be for me to pay for a legitimate therapist. What are you doing next Friday night?

Cant tell a difference. And that is with quite a bit more wheeling and then a bit of daily driving. Pretty sure it will hold up for a while fine, but it will be getting replaced soon after moab since it does have 160k on it already.
