MOAB: June 1-5

Okay I think we've all been a little busy since getting back home... so sorry it's taken so long to get pictures up. These aren't all of mine, but they're a start. More to come later. The first few are from our stay at my cabin on the way out to Moab.

They were a bunch of mormon kids that were hiking... When I hiked back to get Doris, they were just there when I showed up. It was very weird. I'll let Ice Horse or Goldfinger elaborate some more on that...

The rest are videos...and they're taking way too long. Going to need a better connection to upload those.

Yay thanks for putting these up Kyle!

It was like Children of the Corn...desert style! xD My dad hiked to the top of the sand dune while we were waiting for Kyle to get back to his truck to see if there was any vehicles that we could flag down to help us. After about 20 mins, he yelled down to me "Either I'm going crazy...or I see about 20 people walking out of the desert". Sure enough they came over to us. We thought they were adults at first. They kept calling it a Jeep so I had to correct them like 6 times. lol We had them try to push but no luck and they continued on their way.

Still surprised that the truck managed to balance by itself when we took off the uphill winch.

Also, the picture posted under the one with a horse is kind of a Where's Waldo picture with Doris. She's in it, you can just barely see her

Ahem... after all the crap you gave me for not posting the pictures, you haven't posted your own? You have the majority of them, you know... I just had day 1.

We found this on the way to Fins and Things...seems like somebody got themselves into a little trouble.

And here's Kyle's awesome trail fix!

And like Kyle...I have some vids to upload too but I'll do it tomorrow.

That Mormon thing was odd. We hadn't seen a vehicle for hours. All of a sudden, they just come out of the desert. They actually pushed the truck back up but we could'nt get it to roll back because the wheels wouldn't turn straight without the engine running. Dang hydro-assist. After that, they just faded back into the desert. They didn't even want any water and they where running up those rocks like lizards. Very strange.

Seem to be a strange bunch. Had some come to my door with beads of sweat and no water. Almost had to pin em down to take water bottles I offered them.

Looks like a fun trip guys!
