Mvf-1050

if you haven't heard about thes then you are still in a cave. its a 12v compressor that puts out about 2.5cfm at 90 psi. other people in the club have tested them inflating 33's and it has taken them about as much time as with a viair or other bling compressor. they sell these at checkers for 25 bucks or so. shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] if you need any other info on them. im abusing 2 of these to build an onboard air system that will be able to power air tools on the trail. just keep your fingers crossed on that one lol

I like the idea of the toolbox with the air compressors in it ....seems like a clean and portable way of doing it ...

I just dont want to spend another $100 or so right now on that ....it's amazing how many times I have just spent $100 this week ....like a hundred here...a hundred there ....fucking crazy.

Anyone know where I can buy (2) of these Air Compressors?

I need a link more than a guess...

Checkers doesn't have them in the store or online.

You could try pepboys. They are 50 or 60 at pepboys though. The ones at Kragen/Checkers/Schucks are called the MV-50 and the pepboys ones are the 1050's. Same compressor different sticker. Both are pretty good prices, but you can't beat the 25 bucks.

dont listen to them when you ask..... call different ones looking for part numbers..... try MVF-50, MVF-1050, MV-1050, MV-50, MF-1050, MF-50..... one of those should give you some part that is 24.99...... then tell them to order you a bunch lol

i take that back..... call up a few checkers asking for part MV-50 ask them to check surrounding stores and then call up a few other places. even try the springs and Ft collins. pep boys isn't parts america..... just your local Checker/Advance/Shucks/Kragen parts dealers are

I saw an ad for these in the thursday paper for either pepboys or checkers, for the life of me i cant remember, but they had em advertised for 24.99. i think it was advertised as a mv-2050 though, cant remember the entire ad though and the paper is already in the trash

I'm hunting for my brain cells illegally ....at least that's what the voices in my head have been screaming at me ...

***edit***

I'm curious about an airtank setup under my truck. I don't know anything about compressors or tanks ...but....how many tanks would I need to buy to fill 4 tires without running the compressor? Is this possible? To have enough air stored in some tanks to fill 4 tires?

If its possible, anyone got a link to some inexpensive tanks?

to not run the compressors at all????? ummmm about 20 gallons lol. think 1/4 of your bed. tires are pretty big empty spaces. each one can hold maybe 4 gallons of stuff.... so you do the math on that one. and yeah. i would just run the compressors with it. tanks take the edge off of everything and while essentially you are running the compressors at one point or another no matter what to refill the tanks it does give you a buffer to say. 4-5 gallons would probably get you close enough that you could run some tools off of everything. with my setup im going 4.2 gallons so yeah

I've got my eyes on those 2.5gl tanks from wheelers ....I would obviously use two ......can you mount them lengthwise to the rails? they are only like 24" long....or is there some unforseen problem I'll encounter? It's too dark and I'm too lazy to crawl under it right now.

I need some good resources to learn about stuff like this ....I'd like to become more mechanically inclined....

if they are only 24 then you could..... a BL and some exhaust work would help to tuck them up there more. frame rails are about 3.5 inches tall so yeah
