In-cab Snorkel

Spent four hours today making an in-cab snorkel. Best project so far everything went as planned. True test is when I finally get out in some water. Write-up on it coming soon. Cheap mod too $25 to keep from hydrolocking and much cheaper than getting an ARB. No one can even see this snorkel except for a little bulge on the passenger fender.

Oh this I gotta see!

So far the best cheap mod I have done was my rock lights. Less than 100$ for the lights and wiring (Thanks Rich for the install help) Thougfh I did have to get my alternator rebuilt ($100) to put out more amerage at idle.

Hope this picture works. This is the snorkel all finished and right before the fender was put back on. Put the deckplate on for school today and drove around. When the gas is hit there is a deafening roar but most the time it isnt very noticable. Just need a stereo with working front speakers to block it out. Don't feel any power loss compared to the deckplate and write-up this weekend.

I'm sure the things noisy in the cab. I would also think it might smell a little like fuel or engine compartment. Also dosn't have the benificial ram effect of the ARB, but I'm biased.

Is IFS something you can get penicillin for???
