Gonna stay and wheel more than just CM?

I'm hoping to do this next year, but I want to go early or stay late and wheel as much as possible.

Yep - should be there about two days before and after. Going with some buds that have been before so it should be GOOD.

Man, I've always wanted to go there and wheel. Take plenty of pictures for us to look at. If you don't mind me asking what knid of price tag will this have attached to do this type of wheeling trip (ball park) ?

x2 on the ballpark price if you don't mind.

Take plenty of mental notes as well since I'm sure we'll all have plenty of questions for you. I'm with Josh on trying to go next year, but those plans are certainly no where close to even being in the early develpment stages.

The event itself is $115 for one vehicle/person. I have some Cruiser buds that have space on a trailer coming through Little Rock so I can throw my rig on and ride with them. Say $250-$300 for my share of the fuel (6mpg x 3000ish miles / 4). I have to fly back on Tues 5th - @$180. Wife will pick me up at the airport in LR than I have to return to LR when my truck makes the return trip = 3 total trips to LR. I'll throw my cocoon (tentcot) out on one of the RV spots by buds have rented so not much cost there. Then there is food, fuel, prep, repair, etc. Say $600 plus??? Way more than I usually allow for a trip but.....it's Moab! Always wanted to do Maob, prolly won't get the chance again for some time so..... I'm going to MOAB!

Daryl, I'm so jealous.

When do you think you'll be headed back to Hot Springs? I know some people who would like to be reunited

Oh, and the fan club is coming along splendidly. We're recruiting new members

I don't know nothin' 'bout no fan club but I hope to get at least on weekend in before the OCC -the first weekend of June. It's going to be tough though with family obligations, work and such.

What dates are the Cruise Moab event? Where could a person get a place to stay up there, if camping? I doubt I could make this year, but I'd love to go one of these years.

Whats left of a 85 Toyota, 22r Slightly Modified, Got propane, lots of tube n stuff.

I think the dates are April 29-May 3 but we are arriving early and staying late. I think we are staying at Slickrock Campground but my buddy made all the arrangements s I'm just following the leader. Here is a link to lots of info on the area:

Come on up if you can. If not, I'll try to post some pics when I return.

Nice picture.

Any damage, or was it a gentle rest on the rear and cage?

No damage to speak of. Small dent in the rear cage. Mostly came to rest on the spare ( had to cary one per CM09 rules ) and the drivers side tow point on the rear bumper. Very lucky it didn't go over!

Daryl! Welcome back, mayne! I was just wondering how you're doing the other day. Glad to hear you had a good trip!

Now about the tractor tipping. That seems gentle enough. And being the cool-as-a-cucumber guy that you are, you probably thought, "Welp, here we go..." and moved on

Can't wait to see some more pics!!!
