Exclamation Dana Axle Parts and Service Info

Here is a bunch of info in Acrobat form I downloaded for Dana Axles one day. There is a service manual and parts info and as used on data for most of the Dana Axles out there up till about 98. There is also a whole document on the Dana Axles used in Fords. Some body might wanna do a stickey or put it someplace easy to find. Some of the files are kinda large though. You should be able to find some info that will be useful if you're shopping axle parts.

Enjoy

Damn that's been there for a long time, Dean. It's part of the Wiki FAQ/Tech section here now too. You need to add some info to the Wiki.

just a bump but after you put new shackles on the leaf, either front or the rear. the shackle should point to the rear. right!

my roommate has a jeep with a dana 60 on the rear end, we are wondering if anyone knows what type of gear oil to fill the diff with? the axle has a detroit locker, and we are wondering if the oil needs an aditive for the locker?

Haven't posted in a while on TTORA

I've been looking for an axle to start building for my swap.

I've got down the years i need (and the ones i don't ex vacuum disconnect) in the waggy 44.

My new question is: what are the differences "if any" between the 1987 wagoneer and grand wagoneer? Everything i have searched is wishwash information going back and forth.

I think i understand how to tell the difference between the dana 30 front vs the dana 44 front. (rubber fill cap vs metal bolt).

I'm going to look at an axle Thursday and i suppose i can just pull the BOM numbers off the axle and look those up online for confirmation.

It was likely linked to the wiki and for some reason the wiki was taken down when this board's main mission went from one of providing information to making money though advertising. I think the official excuse was hackers though.
That is a sad thing because there was once a lot of good information free for the asking there that many members had worked hard to contribute.
