Hey, I'm planning on buying a rear bumper from a guy who has a '01 Tacoma and I was wondering if anybody knows if the frame on the '01 Tacoma is the same as that on the '00 Tacoma, and if this bumper would fit. Thanks a lot.

rears are all the same; its the fronts that changed with each generation

The front frame rails on 95.5-97 Tacomas is short just like the 01-04 Tacomas. On 98-00 Tacomas, you can put the spring hangar flush against the 2x3 crossmember whereas you have to move it around on the older and newer trucks. I think that's about the only difference between the frames is the length
