I really wanted to replace my headunit in my 03 tacoma just because it doesn't put out much power, and I don't want to mess with running any amps or anything.

I like the oem look, so I was wondering if any other "better" radios fit from the other Toyota models? Somethat that would be a direct fit and give me more power and/or options.

Or, does an aftermarket company made a direct fit unit for the truck? I don't mind using a small kit, but a single DIN unit on a double-din opening does not look very good IMO.

True, it doesn't look great, but when I install these units, I put in a pocket because they connect to the iso mounts instead of using the kit that centers a single din in the middle. Also, you could get a double din dvd player like this one if you want to go all out.

Scion unit works and sounds great it was cheap upgade from the factory unit. I've been very happy with it.

look for radios that fit double din openings, just about every brand makes one double din radio here are a few
