Can anyone tell me how to do a deck plate mod on an 05 v6 tacoma? I've seen some pretty good illustrations for older models, and I'm anxious to see what I can do myself since nobody wants to sell anything for this damn truck yet!!

i looked at the air box on the 05 for a sec and it doesn't have a big surface area for a deck plate. When my buddy gets his X-runner we will try to get teh hood scoop to be functional with the air box.

You need to be alittle more patient my man. Things are slow comming out from what i hear. Donahoe has coilovers in production and in my latest offroad aventures mag from 4 wheel parts Skyjacker is in the works for a lift kit also.

i think the skyjacker kit is out...i saw an article on them in an offroad mag i got in the mail the other day. i could be mistaken though, it might have been another company

actually just opening up the hood scoop so that it flows more cool air into the engine bay would be more benificial then trying to route a line to the airbox.

I route cold air to my airbox by staying in Canada during the winters.

A few have thought about it. but routing it would be interesting. esp with water and mud.

It would also be interesting to be able to open and close your hood. I'm assuming the layout is similar to the 3.4 and the throttle body is probably right under the scoop?
