Do you have to get a tow hitch with the TRD package?

No. One TRD package includes it, the other doesn't.

TRD Sport #2, Double cab, 4x4, v-6, 6 speed. The 6-speed is great.

Yes, I got the off road package with tow. The only thing that pissed me off was that you don't get the ball that slides into the receiver. You pay all this money and then you have to go out and buy a $25 ball? If I were you I would make that part of your deal with the stealership.

Do you lose some other options if you don't get the hitch? If I were to get one, I would want a DC with the TRD package w/a manual tranny and the 6 disc changer. I would also want the power outlets in the bed... are they an option on the TRD?

I've read that they are offering sattelite radio next year, so I may wait until then for that and to allow them to work out any bugs.

I currently have an '04 TRD X-tra cab and I really like it.

It depends on where you are, the manual double cabs are nearly nonexistant here in New England. My brother in law wants one bad, the salesman I bought my 05 from said there was only 10 alloted for all of new england in the last production run. And of course he wants an indigo blue one with the sport package, just like major woods. He might have to be less picky if he wants it anytime soon.

Yeah at least Toyota did something right with it and offered the Manual Tranny, but the problem is going to be finding one thats for sure!

FYI there are two TRD packages for '05. The most major difference is one has the hoodscoop and LSD, the other is straight hood with e-locker.
