I was just curious if the e-locking diff assembly from an 05 can use the same housing as a 92? It also has the front where it connects to the driveshaft.I know i need the stock wiring harness that connects to the diff's locking actuator, but is there anything else? I appreciate the help

It should work, but I am not sure if the '05 spline count, etc. is the same so you might want to do some research on that. You will have to do some grinding and welding on the rear end housing of the '92. You will need the harness and the ECU for the locker. See the link below....it is what I used when I installed one for a friend with a '93 runner.
