does anyone know wat the 05 double cab does in 0-60? also how hard would it be and what would u need to make it do 0-60 in like seconds?how much powerdoes the 4.0 have potentialy? with like a sc, 7th injector, headers and other stuff?
THe double cab does it in 7.4????absolut taco said:Stock it's like 7.4 seconds for the 6 speed (Car and Driver)
I think an extended cab does it in under 8 but a double? that thing is pretty big....TACO 4X4 said:It's under 8 seconds (mid 7's). S-runner is mid 6's...not to bad for a truck. I do not think they have a SC avaiable for it as of now.
I was pretty amazed as well, however, it is true based on the reviews. Car and Driver tested a DC 4x4 6spd and Edmunds (which just completed a head-to-head midsize comparison) tested a DC Auto 4x4 Long Bed. C&D posted a 7.4 second sprint to 60 and Edmunds has it at 7.8. I don't have a Gtech or similar device otherwise I would time mine directly, however, having owned a 5.4L F150 and 5.3 Chevy I can honestly say that the Tacoma feels much quicker so I believe the numbers.TundraV6 said:I think an extended cab does it in under 8 but a double? that thing is pretty big....
