Going to a bigger tire, is there a benefit to going with a 15" rim vs. a 16" rim?

The only advantage i can think of now off the top of my head is that its easier and usually cheaper to buy tires that fit with a 15" rim versus a 16" rim, where you usually have to get metric.

Ive heard you get alittle more flex in the side wall with a 15" when you air down.

if you are going to be offroading alot than the 15" tire will flex more than the 16" like trdusa2002 stated, but the 16" has better onroad characteristic.

Well, think about it, 16" has less side wall, and 15" has more........I went with 15" and i dont have any problems...

Let's not forget about caliper clearance.
