I know that most of the time someone asks about a 15" rock crawler they are quickly pointed to Wheelers...
I'd rather go with the rock crawlers for price reason, and a buddy can pick them up on the way home tonight for about the same price as the wheelers, but I don't have to wait, or pay shipping.

Question: Anyone go with a series 97 with any luck?
The 3.75" BS says that it won't work with the taco's, and the 4.5" BS doesn't say anything about having a problem... I could almost live with the 3/4" back inside the wheel well, if it will work. However, for some reason, I can't fathom that if the 3.75 won't work, then why will a wheel that sets the tire back in the wheel well further work?

I have an '04 PreRunner.

Well, I am having him bring a set home that say they will not work with Tacoma, and the set that doens't say anything about it... I'll let you know the results tomorrow afternoon.
I hope they don't have an open box policy where he is getting them from...
I have to send the working set to work with my cousin tomorrow, so he can drop the wheels off with a buddy to mount the tires... I wanna do my lift this weekend dang-it. LOL.

I'll post it hear, so when someone does a search for it, they don't have to ask the question again... Which I am probably already doing...

However I have a deficiency that hinders my ability from completing a successful search on forums!

You will most likely have to grind the brake caliper down for the wheels to fit.

I have the 15x8 3.75" backspaced black rockcralwer street locks on my 98 taco. I can post a pic if you tell me how.

You could probably host it at a photo site then use the ezboard ez code and do something like [img="put url here"] soemthing like that I presume, or turn html on and do a <p><img src="put url here"></p> or just post the link... Free pic sites like photo bucket or image station...
