ok i have a 96' 2.7 auto trans and 33's on stock gears. i want to regar eventually. i want to know about a supercharger. i have looked on the trd web site and cant find a 96' or a 2.7. isnt there a kit that is for my truck? im only 16 and i have about regearing and i know i should BUT i want to know about sc's. any info would be great

2.7's have been long discontinued. I believe Gadget may have bought the remaining inventory from Alpine (the manufacturer for TRD). Ask him at www.urdusa.com

thanks gadget! like i said im 16, and i need more power. i habe about alittle more than1000$ saved so when i purchase it will be late summer after working and savin all summer. my truck just rolled over 144000 miles. it hasent been ran hard should i be worried about internals? and how complete is the kit? buy kit i can bolt on and drive and upgrade later?

Mileage really is not a big deal these days. It is condition that matters.

If you have done the maintenance properly on it, regular oil changes and such you should be fine. I would do a compression check before you commit to a supercharger and that will tell you the overall health of the engine. If it is in spec you should be fine.

When you are ready just let us know.

ok so ill do the compression check and if its in spec ill hopefuly be able to jump on a sc! if i buy the kit at the listed price i think it was about 2600$ is it a weekend bolt on? will i have everything so after all the components in the kit are on i will be able to drive it?

Yes, but we do recommend out own fuel system and engine management kit to go with the supercharger. That way you can optimize everything so it runs perfectly.

Yeah, I don't know what it is, but it's just easier to remember Gadget, than lets say bob, or joe, or even STEVE. That is how I see it. As for your screen name. I always forget how to spell it so when I refer posts to you , I go by Chris from traparts4u since that is easier to remember than valkyrie. lol. It's all good in the end everyone gets the help they need.

ok so ill need injectors, and...what eles for the fuel system? and ill need the computer stuff,managment stuff what does that that consist of? and is it possible to say about 3000$ and out the door for the injectors(fuel stuff) and computer managment parts?

Can i get more boost out of a smaller pulley? what is the max boost i can run, with out hurting the engine?
