The rear end in truck is not stock gears lower than I wanted, can u take a rear end out of a pre runner and put it on my 4x4 truck if its geared factory ratio? I believe it was 4:10 from factory. Forgot where I found info on reading the vin number. I dont think it matters but it's a five speed also. Thanks
Found a truck with front damaged and none to rear also dont know for 100% what rear end came out of a sho put it in but it was a toyota.

Since you are 4x4, you need to swap the front and rear gears at the same time if you want to maintain 4WD capability. You can swap just the rear if you want, but you won't be able to engage 4WD until you swap the front or things will go BOOM.

Prerunner and 4WD Tacomas without the TRD e-locker all have the same removable 3rd member. You just have to swap that section of the rear axle to change your gears.
