I was ready to drop in on some WeatherTech laser fit mats for my 2002 Xtra Cab Tacoma. Just before I placed the order the rep' asked if my Taco was a automatic (it is not). Apparently the WeatherTech mats only fit in the 1st gen if it's an auto.
Does anyone have a recommendation of a similar style mat that fits a manual transmission 1st gen?
Thanks pgragg, I tried asking the rep some questions about that and unfortunately he wasn't very helpful. I'd be interested to know if anyone on here with a manual has tried trimming them.
I have an '01 manual tranny Taco and have deep dish plastic floor mats that fit perfectly. I can't recall but I'm almost certain they are Husky mats. Had them the whole 17 years and they've been perfect.
I'll double check the brand and model # (it's stamped on the plastic) if you need.
Pic is what I have in my 01 MT taco, each mat can hold at least a half gallon of fluid, probably even a gallon. When I smoked I'd put out cigarette butts by mashing them on the mat, they clean up and still have minimal wear after 17 years.
Thanks johnnymumbles, just what I was looking for! I actually have a pair of Husky mats in the truck now, but they're from an old Ford Ranger, and they fit like crap. I hadn't seen these for a Tacoma in my searching, thanks for the link!
