My buddy just opened up a new dyno shop in Hudson NH (603-886-0827)and i made the first pull on it ever with my 01 Tacoma S/C 5spd.My mods are elbow/K&N drop in,rear cat removed, stock exhaust with 2 1/2 inch tailpipe.I do NOT have any fuel mods at the moment and made 231hp and 262 on the torque. The air/fuel stayed at 13to1 acroos the board the whole time during the run up to 110 mph (on the limiter) I started at 2100 to about 5200 with no pinging. The torqe shoots up right away to 262 and stays there the whole run.All in all i'm very happy with my numbers and probably will be doing some fuel mods in the near future to bring the air/fuel in to a safer range.

I wish they had a dyno place here in mobile alabama. I want to see just what my 95.5 2.7L is putting out its all stock except for a custom exhaust and a 3" deck plate mod. I have 150k and would just like to see what its putting out.

those are very good numbers for not having the fuel mods...some guys with the mods arent even getting that much. you should be in the 250+ range with the fuel mods. what gear did you do the run in? i'm guessing 5th since you took it to the limiter, but i dont know how you wouldnt be pinging at such low rpm's. mine pings under 3k in 5th if i'm pushing full boost

I also helped test out a brand new dyno last night. They wouldn't let me run the truck, but my buddy's mustang ran 475 HP. Its a 302 with a supercharger and a little motor work.

From what I know, with manual transmissions, you always want to run in whatever gear gives as close to a 1:1 ratio to the engine (which is usually 4th gear). So it is likely that he ran in 4th gear.

hey dean aka boosted how much did phantom charge you to run your truck on the dyno? and what have you done to it ?
phantom charges $50 for the dyno, i have a blower and the urd kit, for the dyno i put on a 2" pulley, i have done a few mods since then plus put on bigger tires which has slowed me down a little..maybe we should take the club down there and buy an hour on the dyno and see how we do...

4th gear works best on a manual, third gear for an auto.
Boosted---use the smaller tires for the dyno. Larger tires than stock will lower your dyno numbers.
