Do they still make a supercharger for a 2.7L 1997 Tacoma? Can't seem to find any info on it. If my memory serves me right, the HP increase is actually more than the 3.4L supercharger. Does anyone know what this unit does to gas mileage and vehicle life? Thanks for any info.

Thanks Gadget. Haven't "seen" you in years (used to frequent Tacomaterritory back in the day). I'm amazed that Tacos kept your interest this long!

Anyway, why doesn't TRD make one? Is the Alpine one just as good? Thanks again.

Alpine still makes em', I actually just got a price quote from em' yesterday. To me, $3k just isn't worth it. I think you could find a S/C that you could have fabbed up to work w/ the same amount of boost and all that, and do the fuel mods and come out cheaper. I could however, be completely wrong. Rick aka akshunj is puttin a turbo on his 2.7. I think he said he's only up to like $1500 and that's w/ the turbo, turbo manifold, and other major parts. I think all he lacks is the piggyback computer to dial it all in. Unless you don't know what you're doin, I'd try and stay away from that, but it would be cheaper if you had knowledge of how it worked! Good luck, Wes

Why wouldn't Tacos keep my attention? I have two 4Runners and a Tacoma XRunner....

Alpine made the supercharger for TRD. It seems that TRD is slowly dropping superchargers from their product line. Now that TRD has been totally bought out by Toyota you might see the rest of the superchargers go away for good.

your website doesn't list the S/C, just your kits
what is the price for one?
Do you have deals including the S/C, your kit and any other acc as a package deal?

Just a quick question....how come 1995-1999 superchargers are only available in a 4psi version and 2000 - 2004 come with a 8 psi? what the hell is the difference between these two motors and will a 2000-up work on an earlier model?
P.S. even on Alpine's website they list the superchargers for $2895 which is WAAAAY too much money for an engine that just will never "have" it! lol
