Hi everyone, Im new to this site but not new to the desert/ offroad world at all. I have owned this truck since i was 16, and plan to keep it for a long time to come. It has gone through many stages starting at a simple daily driver. Im not going to cover every step of the way here, but a simple recap with specs on its current setup.

Back when i first got it:

Didnt take long before i had it in the dirt:

Averaged taking it out about twice a month through almost all of high school while i contiued to dump every penny i made into it.

scored some shiny new shocks

Loading up to head out to the MDR Wall race with my new shocks

At Pisgah Crater exploring

Out playing the night before the Clean-dezert Barstow cleanup

the truck treated me well like that but it was time for some upgrades

It was time to sell off the super reliable downey kit in favor of a used Duffco kit
old front end off

Installed the new front end, reusing the old torsions and white rocket shocks

Continued running that front end for a few years while adding to it. Built some lift spindles for it using T100 spindles, put All-Pro 50T leaf packs on the back and FOA 2.5" smooth bodies (still on torsions)

Still managed to drive it home after every trip :D

Next big high light was a hand grenade going off in my motor

Not really surprised though, it spend MANYYYY miles wide open and 5500 RPM. At this point it was still my daily driver putting about 75miles per day on it. When the motor let go i decided to bite the bullet and get a dedicated DD and take this thing to the next level.

Started building a new engine cage...and doubling my HP
Angry little V6 going in

Added coilovers, FOA air bumps and ditched the stock cross shafts in favor of heims

Took it out like that, power was unbelievable. Went from doing 35ish through a whoop section to 55. I was happy

Putting it to use

didnt take long before the cab literally started breaking in half, the chassis could not take the beating with this new motor
soo onto the next thing :D

Full cage, fuel cell, ditched the bed, and a 9" rear end with new FOA 3.5 5 tube bypasses...race truck

Having some fun :p

Closed course with permission and spotters ;)

Drove it like that, had a tone of fun, but the front end just couldnt keep up. Ended up tweaking the entire front end in Barstow

Day of carnage...still drove it back to camp

That suppose to line up...

cracked lower arm

steering rubbing the engine cage

Lifted the entire engine cage and dash tube in the cab about 1/4"

It also made one of my rims into an oval...still held air though lol

About that time a friend and I decided to start an Offroad shop (http://www.facebook.com/2AMFabrication). The truck sat for awhile, we built a Jeep and had some other customer projects that took up most of my time.

Just before New Years 2013 i had time to get back to my truck. Decided to prototype my own Long travel kit.

CAD drawn, CNC cut and tig welded lower arms

Front end together with brand new 2.5x12" FOA coilovers

Did i mention we knocked all of this out in 2 weeks? :) From bare frame rails to desert ready with time off for Christmas thrown in the middle

Front end specs:
6" wider per side (84" track width)
4wd spindles, hubs
20" of wheel travel
hydro bumps off the spindle bolt

Got the front end together, did 1 hot lap around the neighborhood and drove it onto the trailer for a new years trip

New front end did absolutely awesome, made the truck so much easier and enjoyable to drive, i was blown away. Sadly i only got to put 1.5 days on it before i broke an axle shaft in my 9".
Few clips just cruising breaking in the new front end, whole truck has a LOT more in it but i was trying not to break it.

And the broken axle

The truck is now back together with new alloy axles from Mitchell Differential. I should be taking it out soon for a weekend of shock tuning and testing. In the mean time im working on a custom dash and headliner, should be pretty sweet when its done. Thanks for looking and I look forward to your comments.

Sorry for the late reply. TUff trucks went GREAT. Ran my truck hard all 3 days and even drove my truck home one of the nights because a friend broke his truck and needed to use my trailer.
Few pics from tuff trucks:

In car video, start at 2:00

After that the truck got torn down for some prep and paint before heading to Huckfest in Pismo.

After prep was complete the truck got loaded up and we headed off to Pismo for 4 days. Truck did better then expected in the dunes while moving, Drove great.

Lost a tire, i think a few plugs will fix it

Then the last night things got a little more interesting

So that roll was not "my fault". I got stuck trying to get around someone else that was stuck. A V8 4runner came around to pull me out but as he did he slid down the dune and ended up pulled me over side ways. Truck rolled almost 2 times down the dune then slid probably another 20ft to the bottom while on its side. Damage was strictly cosmetic but that is still a bummer because the body was pretty straight and i planned to have it painted and looking nice someday. just more money to get to that point now.

Even after all the abuse and driving ALL day after the roll i still drove it back onto the trailer. Had 0 mechanical issues all weekend.

Took the truck out last weekend. Headed to Barstow to get away and watch the Freedom 250. Before the tripped i installed a billet aluminum center support bearing to get rid of all my issues hopefully and installed AC because it was suppose to be 110*. AC and the bearing worked great and fun was had in barstow.
