I don't know if its just me but I think im getting low gas mileage with my automatic V6 DC Tacoma. I get about 290 or 300 miles a tank before the gas light comes on and then average no more than 17.00 miles a gallon while driving 75% freeway/25% city. I want to compare with other 05 models so please post your gas mileage.

450 - 500 per tank, are you kidding me ???? 23 miles per gallon with an 18 gallon tanks is only 414 miles per tank. I was getting 300 miles per tank before I put my 265/75/16 MT/R's on, now I'm lucky to get 250. I just need to learn to keep my foot off of the floor, I just love the way this truck pulls all the way through 6th gear.

I just figured my last tank of gas at just over 15mpg. I put between 80 and 120 dollars worth of the cheap stuff in my truck a week. I spend alot of time at the COSTCO.

We averaged 19.1 on a 874 mile road trip last month. That included 60 miles of haulin' butt dirt roads, 580 miles of interstate, the rest were on state roads/hwys.

Normal commuting nets about 17.8 MPG.

I filled up with 85 (or whatever the lowest grade was) the other day before I drove to school pulling a trailer with my motorcycle on it for about a hundred miles. I used half a tank of gas, which converts to about 10-11 miles per gallon!! I was running 75 in 6th with the cruise the whole way. Does anyone else pull much and at what speeds are you using 6th? Do you ever downshift to 5th on the interstate, say to get up hills? I assume it was the trailer, because I have been getting better mileage in town without the trailer. I haven't driven the interstate yet without the trailer, so I don't have numbers for that yet. Anyways, just wondering.

Oh yeah, and its a 4X4 TRD if that matters.

DC 4x4 Stick: 17 MPG

DoubleCab 4x4 with manual transmission, 75% freeway commute driving, no towing ever, consistently getting just below 17 MPG per tank. 300 miles is my "time to fill up" marker.

nly moderately bummed...was hoping for 18-19 with as much freeway driving as I do. Oh well, it'll get even worse when I upgrade to 32s so what the hell. : )

DC 17 city, 23 highway, 15-13 when pulling boat 70mph. Lower when pulling boat a 85 mph. Not bad when empty at 90mph maybe 20 on highway. If I don't stomp the accellerator off the line then mileage goes up. But it sure is fun to smoke the tires every once in a while.

18.98 mpg, combined city/hwy. first time i've checked mileage with 1000 on the odo. you can say you get this versus that mpg when you drive freeway versus city stop and go.
but the average mileage you get combined, relies on how you actually drive... i included the dealer full tank of gas, i expect the mpg to increase with accurate fill-ups....

Man, I feel good about my mileage. Purchased my Double Cab 2wd Prerunner Thursday before last. I have 650 miles in it and have averaged exactly 21.8 mpg. I filled up three times when it was just under 3/4 full just to check my mileage. I am VERY pleased thinking it will just get better with time.

MMMM. It's OKAY... I usually find better things to do than sitin traffic on the causeway. Waiting to get wiped out by a drunk kid in a 1 ton truck his parents bought him for a "school car".

I get about the same gas mileage as you, but on a long highway trip I got 200 miles to half a tank.
