Well, we (me, Mel and CW4 Mathis) headed up Old Stage around 8:30, got denied at Saran Wrap (both sides) and another spur trail from the meadow. The one that goes into a bowl; a decent sized snow drift said "No".

Turned up to Eagle Rock, got about 1/2 way to the first rocky section (uphill, right turn) and the snow said "Ha, screw you guys."

But it was fun watching some Heeps on "I've got 40s, I can make it"... not make it.

Then there was the Durango with the bolted on exo cage, tons, Trepadors and douche-nozzle for a pilot. He pinned it and just spun to get anywhere... including into a tree or two.

Yeah.

It was interesting and not as cold or windy as last time, so it was a good day. We tried out Bull Park and it was still 100% snowed in. The road to the gate was plowed, but nobody tried the trails in either direction. Well, a dirt bike did; but he got as far as the trail marker and turned around.

The tow rig (yes, he parked at the trail head) for the Durango was still there when we passed by; it was tempting to see how far he went/got stuck, but we weren't that tempted.

The XJ who winched everywhere:

Who the hell wheels with a fuel can on their roof?!?

Part of the 8 Heeps that backed up behind us:

The guy who took the left "line" and blew 2 valve stems:

The snow does not give a shit if you have 40s and a ZZ4 crate engine:

It's deep at the top:

...same XJ; getting his money's worth from that Harbor Freight 12k winch:

Icky Jeep touched me...

And the star of the show:

Not welded!

But I dig the layout inside though:

Bull Park may be closed for a bit:

Old Stage was kind of muddy on the way home:

All in all, it was a rad day to be out and about. I finally figured out how to get to Saran Wrap, we got some quality entertainment, the fresh air was nice, wasn't too cold, the wind was a slight breeze and it was just great to get out.

That Durango usually resides at an auto shop off of Bowles and C-470. Never seen it out, I've always thought it was marketing for the shop.

Yeah. I've always thought that thing was dumb. Definitely not my first choice for a rig. Shit, it's not even my last choice. Arrogant wheelers are sometimes fun to watch beat the shit out of their stuff
