hey guys im upgraing my front susp. from basic coils and a topspacer to some camburgs. To clear 33x12.5s with minimal rub, which backspaing would give a lil bit more room to clear fenders/a-arm??? 3.75 which i have now on eagle alloy 589s or a full 4"?

any info would help :D

4" backspacing would bring your tire closer to your a-arm hence decreasing your clearance.

ahh wisdom!! thnx i was wondering which way the clearance goes as the backspacing increases.
Less BS increases your a-arm clearance but will increase the likelyhood of you tagging fenders, front bumper, etc... Bang the pinchweld, and trim the front bumper if needed.

I just wanted to add that you will rub with 33x12.5 with that setup you are thinking. Topload spacer with over extend your CVs when wheeling and you will ride like crap. Also you might run into alignment problems. Just remember this, Stock suspension only has 8" of travel(4" up and 4" down).

oh sorry for the confusion i am CURRENTLY running spacer and basic coilover now which gives me some good lift! no problems since im a prerunner. but i bought a pair of camburgs to replace this setup. i plan to get some fenders and hopefully thatll solve any rubbing issues.

lol that is what i was thinking yikes

i run 33x12.5's w/a 3.75" backspaced wheel and dont rub at all. I did do the pinchweld however which isn't a big deal.
