Hi all, I got a 2006 dbl cab prerunner. I have done plenty of research on lift options and I really want a good 3in lift so I can put about 32in tires on. I know how most of the different types of lifts work, but I really want to know which is the overall best ride and long lasting. I am mostly on the street, but i want a good lift to fit the 32's when i go on sand (this is not a trail rig). So any help you can give on a quality lift that requires little maintenance and will last a long time will be great. Also if the lift requires any welding, cutting, or if it can be done by an average person.

that type of lift won't require any cutting or welding. If you have a little money I'd avoid the spacer lifts. I had a bit over 3" of lift on my 4Runner and started with a spacer system, then inherited some Fabtech basic coilovers and OME rear springs. The lift worked well and driveability was fine. I would look into a basic coilover, like I said I never had problems with my basic Fabtech. I would do shackels and AALs before blocks in the rear, it will handle better on and off road
