Good morning I know some of you guys have played with this idea, but I was going to go to the junkyard and see what I could find . But does anyone know which year of Runner will reqire less mods to install ?

Drivers seat I believe bolts right up if you are talking 90-95 4 runner. Passenger seat has different tracks if it's one of the rare 2 door 4 runners. The newer tacoma/ 4 runner seats mount differently. I would look for the SR5 sport seats out of a 90-95 4 runner 4 door or 89-95 pickup. Sweet seats and they do bolt right in. I have a set in my 89 reg cab.

As BMWTACO said - the most straightforward transplants are those between 4Runners and pickups of the very same vintage. Before the Tacoma era, one or both seats could often be transplanted 'as is'.

This morning as I spent 4 hours in my 89 regular cab plowing snow I remembered the seats in it came from an 84 SR5. So the bolt-in seat range should go from 84-early 95 for pickups and 90-95 4 runner 4 doors.

Yea I went to the junk yard today and found some decent leather ones out of an 95 SR5 4Runner they fit pretty good lil fab'n needed But holy crap so much more comfy got non electric lumbaf and side panel adjust sweeet. But now what to do with the seats I took out.
