I know this topic has been shot to the ground alot but here goes...

Engine wise im still learnin how the 2.7l in the 98 tacoma works... i am not to familiar with its exhaust set up other than its weld. I got an offer to get a Delta Flo 40 series flomaster exhaust and i was wondering if that would be to much and make my truck sound raspy and Ricer like... is anyone runnin that on their 2.7l? Any suggestions on what to get would be great if this wont be a good set up.. I just wanted somethin that will let people know that im around other than the mudd and the height of my truck :D

I recently changed my Delta 40 Flowmaster to a Dynomax muffler.

The Deltaflow sounded great at an idle and above 3000 rpm, but damn that thing was loud at 2200 - 2600 rpm inside the cab.

To preface this reply, I have an '03 Prerunner regular cab w/2.7 and auto trans. The rumble inside the cab made my ears hurt at the aforementioned rpm's. Besides that, I was setting off car alarms in the neighborhood as I drove by.

My Dynomax gave me a much better sound and a little more bottom end pull.

Later.

Thanks for the advice/opinions. Did the 40 series have a nice tone with the 2.7 or did it sound like a damn bumble bee?? Thanks Again~Rob
