What do if I want to convert my 4wd to 2wd when installing a long travel kit? I'm concerned about the hole in the back of the spindels.

Bigger concern would be the wheel bearings.

yea why on earth would you want to do that? 4wd handles so much better

but if you do want to:

buy 2wd spindles
remove front diff & driveshaft

And then you take that drivetrain and give it to your buddy Tweeter :D yea dude, save some $$$ for the extra month and get axles. I know I would if I could.

I don't know, I could probably trade this guy my Prerunner for his 4x4 in about 5 minutes.... if he was willing, lol. Sad thing is I'm looking at converting in the next couple years, want to earn some money?

I'm talking to the original poster.

Might as well swap an air cooled VW Beetle motor in there as well while you're at it.

So from 4wd to 2wd??? why? Just sell the truck and get a 2wd. Your going to be paying more for insurance since the VIN is going to indicate a 4wd vehicle to the insurance company. But don't do it you will forever regret it.
