Finally installed my sliders. I decided to have them welded flat for better use as steps for the kids and to protect from door dings at the market. Went with about 3/4 inch gap between the body to allow for more flex, and I am glad that I did.

The hi-lift will take the tires completely off the ground. Here is a shot in the driveway.

Taterem, Thanks for the write up!

Here's a high lift jacking tip: If you are lifting to get the tire off the ground wrap a chain or HEAVY strap around the axle up and over the frame. This keeps the suspension from unloading so you don't have to lift as far. I can BARLEY get the tires on my 4 Runner off the ground with out doing this, even on flat pavement.

In all honesty, how much weaker is HREW than DOM? enough to be worth it?
The DOM is a strength gain of about 30% but at the same weight.

Looks good! You could put some diamond plate or sheet metal on the top to make a better step and possibly even stronger. Here are mine:
