Well, my dad just bought this last week. Haven't started into anything yet but the plan is complete restoration. All original. Let the fun begin.

Looks like a great project. My dad and I have a pair of 38 Chevy pickups sitting ready for the same thing.

My Pop has a 51 sitting in the back field. Let me know if yer Dad is needing any parts as he makes progress. My Pop may be able to help in that area.

Our 51 is what I learned to drive and drove during my HS years!

yep. Well, the old guy really isn't my pap...not blood anyways. But I've considered him my pap my whole life. Real close neighbor. Helped him restore a 35 ford years ago.

Close enough:). Here all elders get respect and are either "uncle" or "aunty".

Hahaa! Yep...just a few. Boy was that quite a day...whew. It already came in handy when rebuilding a few parts. Thanks a bunch!!

Below is some more progress for those who are interested.

Previously I showed an "after" pic of taking the clutch and bellhousing off. Here is what we had to do to get it off....she was on there good.

Time to clean this mess up.

Scrubbed, scrubbed, wire brushed about 7 times. Cleaned all moving parts and put a coat of primer on it.

Now on to Carburator. Purchased a rebuilt kit and opened er up.

All done.

Oh...and we just got the frame back from sandblasting and got a coat of primer on it as well. :D First real milestone on this project.

Found a couple spots near the rear spring hangers that need cut out and a new piece welded in. A minor set back but no big deal. It first went un-noticed until sandblasting made it more apparent.

....and it continues.
