Was considering installing a 6" Fabtech for a 01 Tacoma. Any one heard or have this lift with any thoughts on it. If so, will I be able to run 35" 15x10 without tire rub. All help appreciated.

The kit recommends 315/75/16's which are 35's. It does say "minor trimming required", which is the "pinch weld mod". I have the kit, and a 2" body lift with 33's and they look small as hell! 35's are not going to be a fitment issue on mine, but without the body lift, and under flex, they might rub, but I don't know for sure. I am pretty sure the 10" wheel will be harder to fit without rubbing than the 8" though.

Without trimming it will most likely rub. I saw a taco with just the fabtech 6" and the rec 35" metric tire size on rims that looked to be 10" wide (not sure of BS) and they did rub. With the 3" BL, it isnt close, a 2" would be better.

Without improving the springs and leafs the ride and handling wont' improve. Are you considering swapping out the coil springs and leaf springs when you do this lift? I recommend OME but with this much lift, there are other options out there that work well. Ask they guys with the same lift which shocks, coils and leaf springs they use and how well they like them.

I was also interested in the fab. 6 inch. I want to run 33 11.5 and was wondering what fuel mileage would be like with a 3.4 l extended cab. I am a daily driver putting 50-100 miles a day on my truck. Would this lift be feesable? or would i be better off going with coil overs like camburg or donahoe and body lift?
thanks

Forget the price..good luck finding one LOL I've been backordered over 2 months and I just spoke with a rep that says they are at least 3 weeks out. I was told they got a bad batch of Spindles and are waiting on new ones...It's killing me as I had my truck regeared to 4:88's and I'm forced to run it on 31's for now!

is it very bad driving around with the 4.88's on 31"s cause i'm about to regear and get new tires/lift, but im short about $500, and i think im just going to go ahead and regear first until i can get the cash in april, i guess i might as well just waut though if its a bad ride

hey, i've been doin some research on the Fabtech 6inch lift and i haven't been able to find a solid price... seeing as many of you guys on this forum have this lift would any of you care to share how much you've paid for it?
Hey if your looking for a Fabtech 6", give these guys a call. I ordered one in December and then backed out when I found a used one. I know they have 2 full kits in stock. When I ordered it through them, it was going to be $1895.00 (local pickup - Broomfield, CO)

I have the Fabtech 6" with 35's, (315), on a 10 inch wide wheel with no problem...just make sure your backspacing is 4.5" and you won't get any rubbing. I know a lot of folks have used 10" wide wheels, and had problems, but they were all running a 3.75" back spacing.

Never buy from 4wheelonline they are horrible, I bought the fabtech 6inch in december they sent me the wrong stuff then I finally got them to pay for it to be shipped back and finally i told them to give me my money back. I ordered the tuff country lift and have it and I still dont have all my money back. Not to mention when I got the fabtech from them the box looked like someone threw it off a cliff. 4wheelonline SUCKS!
