Can a spacer be used (without any loss of ride quality) with SAWs? Would it be wiser to just get a 6" lift which would cost quite a bit more. Thanks for any help/advice given.

You can only push your a-arms down so far. So in short, no, you can't do it.

Alternatively you could run a body lift and C/O's.

the cvs, and a arms would not be happy

I got 5 1/2" Lift on mine. Using 3" on coilovers, and 2" body. I would not go any further then that. Unless you SAS your taco. Depends on what you want it for. Sand, Mud, Rock? I got about 6" 1/2" in my rear cause i got Alcan, Shackle, and Body lift.
