Found a complete front axle off of an '85 grand wagoneer, is this the same axle alot of the guys are using for their SAS?

BET
Sounds like it would work. Make sure it's a 44, and make sure it doesn't have the vacuum assist shif on the fly crap. The only thing coming out of the top of the diff should be one breather.

Decide on the WMS you want based on desired track width, bearing in mind that the Taco's rear axle is 60.5" WMS-WMS.

A lot of people use the Waggy axles because of the width and lug pattern, but swapping the lug pattern on a Dana 44 is really simple as Chevy, Waggy, and Ford outers can be swapped onto the same housing, within reason.

Hey Bet, like it was mentioned before, you just want to make sure that the axle does not have the vacum assist. where did you find it and for how much? I wouldn't pay more than $125 as we have discussed in the past.

off topic, did you get that list of links I sent you?

Still trying to figure out how to get you those images you requested, but don't worry I'll get the to you

The one I have my eye on is a 61" WMS. I dont want the tire to stick out much. I dont want Fix Tickets. at the same time I dont want to have the tires rubbing on the leafs. I wouldnt mind using a narrower tire either.
