I have an engine in my garage from my '95 Taco. It's a 2.7L, I got a used engine put in because it died on me. The mechanic said that the timing chain broke. Timing chain to me looks fine, it might have slipped maybe. Anyways, I'm not much of a mechanic myself, I want to get this engine out of my garage. I can part it out or sell the whole thing. I would like to get something out of it. I can take it to the dump for free but I figured I would check to see if anybody wants it or any part of it.

I'm in Brooklyn, Connecticut 06234. If I have to ship it I have no idea of the cost, or even how to ship it, lol.

As far as price. If you need a price I'll say $200 OBO. That can easily move down though.

Was there signs of water in the oil or oil in the water before removal? If not and the engine comes complete as pictured I'll take it off your hands for $100 (might move up as well, lol ) plus shipping costs.

thats a great price, but i was hoping you were local. i'm just trying to find a cheap engine that i can mess around w/ and learn about by taking it apart and rebuilding it, thats all, no worries, i guess i'll pass!

I'm not sure, I got an offer for the whole engine. We are trying to figure out the shipping options. If the shipping is too outrageous for the buyer I will part it out. As far as prices, that might be different cuz I'll have to take it apart.

just to give you an idea, I shipped a 3.4 for $250. Being this is a 4cyl, I would imagine it's alot cheaper since it's not near as heavy. I'd say around $150. If you do decide to part it out, LMK. Thanx, Wes
