Does the 1995 tacoma have a timing belt or chain? I have 262k on my truck and never replaced the belt/chain. Now i am having a rough running situation and im wondering if it could be the belt/chain cause i tried everything else and nothing has worked. truck feels like its only running on 2 cylinders.......barely gets up to 30 mph.

if you have a 6 cylinder you have a belt, if you have a 4 then you have a chain
Sorry....i have the 2.7 liter 4 cylinder. Assuming i have a chain, is it possible maybe a tensioner is failing and caused the chain to jump a tooth????

If your tensioner is bad, you'd have tons of noise from the chain slapping around. I'd start with checking your from compression and see if you have a dead cylinder or a bad valve.
