Yup. I just talked to AJ from bentup yesterday about doing a SAS and 4WD converison on my rig. He's very knowledgable and very easy to talk to. The only thing is that it seems hard to get a hold of him cuz he works full time. . . .

By the way, I suggest that you do a lot of research and make a list of questions to have handy when you get in touch with him. That way you can ask him all the relevant questions right away and start searching for the right parts. Here's some references that have been very helpful to me. . . .

Dude have you thought at all about reading???? Look under the build up tab or just look under the parts list folder and the answer to any question you could have will be there. If you search and read the right thread you'll find about 5 threads of people who asked the same question as you and like yourself didn't want to spend any time looking for their own answers. Really guy you just gotta take a look. Hubs you want Warn, shafts will work if they are the stock Waggy shafts. Just make sure if you use heep parts you match them with heep parts and the same if you use Chevy parts

Hey Tim…I got a quote that works well in this situation…"Other people's children!"

Know what I mean?

I don't know about you, but everytime I see someone go off half cocked as this one seems to be doing. The SAS project either falls flat on it's face or the board is in for a very long few months and normally in the end the truck subjected to the torture of the build gets sold off to be someone elses problems.

If you can't take the small amount of ribbing you are going to get on this board for asking questions you can answer yourself through the search button…Good luck on other reputable informative sites like Pirate.

They will eat you for breakfast, especially when you start boisting and making claims about building an 8 second car etc.

So don't go away with your panties in an uproar. Especially over my comments (most will tell you on here I am one of the most easy going people on this forum…just don't piss me off.LOL)

Anyway for complete kits, don't forget CBI faberications, F.R.O.R as well as Marlin I believe also came out with a complete SAS kit.

But already doing my SAS I can tell you, half the fun of the project is building your own "kit"/ crossmembers etc.

Hell my stuff is so over built where I used 5/16" metal where most use 1/4" stuff it ain't even funny! but no kit gave me that option.

Just do a lot of reading, "day dream planning" and changing your mind and you might have a fighting chance at this project…it is definitely not rocket science, but can be tricky.

Oh BTW the last pro stock I had my hands on…went 7.83 two weekends ago consistantly. But then again… I don't like getting into pissing contest!

Good luck with your build, and as always I will help answer anything I can, as long as the search button is hit a few times before the question is asked.

If you can't handle what little was given than stay in the newb section with navyseals101 and quit being a bitch.

ok i got my axle, knuckles, steering arms. steering box pitman arm. i am going to do the high steer thing. it seems like most of you made your own tie rod and drag link. is that true or my imagination. also do you think for an x cab, that 44044s will be too stiff. i plan on adding a winch and good bumper in the future. thanks

I think 44044 springs work great in the front.

Later,
