oops, guess he had too much stick out for that pick. I was fortunate enough to be asked to be a part of the recovery team on Saturday. Basically got to drive around the course winching upside down rigs out of holes and towing rigs back to their trailers. My Mile Marker worked great!

SOme guy hopped on a reach lift and basically just got way too much stick out and it wasn't on level ground. When the buggy finally came off the ground it side loaded the boom and over it went. Deflection, shock load, and side loading are bad all bad news for this type of equipment. Clearly he had run one before, but did not understand the dangers of tipping. We spent about 2hrs tugging on it with three trucks and a front end loader. Finally we sucked the boom in and dropped the rack it it went back on the rubber pretty easy. THere are some serious knuckleheads out there with licenses that should be revoked. I see this kind of thing all the time in my line of work.
