After a 3 year hiatus from driving a Tacoma I grew tired of fixing broken GM junk and picked up a new 2012 DCLB on Friday. I had to give up the factory towing package to find a longbed, so now I'm looking at wiring options.

I've been able to find a few plug and play 4 flat kits, but I need to have a 7 pin to work with some of the trailers I pull.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a plug and play harness set up. I have the skill and knowledge to wire one in from scratch, but I'm also lazy and not real keen on hacking into the wiring on a 30K truck.

Thanks

Recommend eBay or local autoparts. They'll have premade lazy-guy-friendly harnesses that will splice right in.

you will spend a good chunk of change for the plug in ones... but they will only give you the regular flat 4 setup, you will still be missing your reverse, brake control and charge line. and those will have to be manually wired in...
