I did one side of mine last night and the front bolt was the easiest part. I did have trouble with the rear shackle being fozen inside of the bushing sleave and was a major chore to get it out. Enough so I am thinking of ordering shackles for the rear before doing the other side.
Mine is a 96 also so I would think you may run into the same trouble. The steel sleeve the bolt goes threw was entirely coroded and had no intention of coming lose. I tryed pressing it lose first only to push the bushing out of the spring. I ended up taking a cutting wheel and cutting a slit the length of the sleeve after burning it out of the bushing and it still wanted to stay.
